From photo to finished

Send photos and ideas, get a quick sketch, pay the deposit, get progress photos as it's painted.

    Send the piece

    Photos of the object, its size, and the design or the photo you want painted.

  2. 02

    Get a sketch

    Ruben sketches the idea so you can approve it before he starts.

  3. 03

    Drop off or ship

    Pay the deposit, then bring it by appointment or ship it.

  4. 04

    Progress photos

    See it come together, then pick it up or have it shipped back.

What you provide

  • Photos of the object and its rough dimensions
  • The photo or design you want painted (the sharper the better for portraits)
  • What the surface is: plastic, leather, metal, canvas, a 3D print
  • Your deadline if it's a gift

Price basis

How it's priced

Small, intricate pieces are billed by the hour plus materials. Ruben estimates the hours with your quote.

  • $100/hr plus materials for small, intricate pieces

50% deposit to book.

Every piece is different, so Ruben gives you a date with your quote.

Ruben quotes every job himself, usually within one business day.

Custom Pieces: straight answers

Can you paint a portrait from a phone photo?

Usually, yes. Send the sharpest version you have. If it's too blurry for the detail you want, Ruben will tell you before you pay.

Do you paint 3D-printed props?

Yes. Send photos of the print and tell him what it's printed in, and he'll say how he'll prime and finish it.
